F/T Financial Services Officer (SF Irving Branch)

Position Description:

Act in a member service, sales and loan service capacity to maintain member relationships, maximize member satisfaction & loyalty, and apply knowledge of SFPCU’s products and service strategies to meet member needs.

Must be able to:

  • Perform all FSA/teller duties as needed.
  • Assertively and consistently cross-sell all products, services, and promotions offered including Member Financial Services while obtaining goals set forth by Financial Service Director.
  • Perform all account services related maintenance including but not limited to account and loan services i.e. account maintenance, processing IRA transactions, ATM/Debit Card reissue requests, check orders, payroll deductions, direct deposit, periodic payments, ACH services, redemption of certificates.
  • Assist members with consumer loans under the NIV and Prescreen Program.
  • Interview account and loan services applicants, assessing their needs and providing clear and concise information related to all credit union products and services.
  • Review and analyze account and loan documentation for accuracy, including but not limited to DMV and insurance requirements and documentation.
  • Reviews and evaluates account and loan packages for completeness of documents and compliance with Credit Union internal policies, as well as regulatory State and Federal compliance.
  • Interview and process loans within the NIV program.
  • Prepare notification to applications for all requests in accordance to Regulation B.
  • Respond to member requests by mail, telephone, in person and email within department specified time frames. 
  • Demonstrate the ability to multi-task duties and projects assigned.
  • Proactively seek to improve and/or offer positive input regarding individual role, departmental or credit union processes.
  • Package account/loan files in accordance to our OnBase scanning procedures.
  • Demonstrate problem resolution and form decisions based on sound and valid information.
  • Participate in ongoing training and cross training, taking advantage of BVS online courses, in house training sessions, seminars and classes as assigned.
  • Perform activities/tasks related to the Bank Secrecy Act Policy which includes General Requirements, MIP, CTRs and events that may suspect suspicious activities..
  • Performs other Financial Service duties/projects, as required.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum one(1) year within a financial institution in an account services capacity
  • Knowledge of all teller and new account service functions including all aspects (routine to complex) of IRA, Trust, Deceased and Small Business Accounts
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Proven dependability and sound judgment skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Proficient knowledge of personal computer operations including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Proficient knowledge of electronic data processing and archive system
  • Ability to cross-sell various products and services
  • Knowledge of consumer lending regulatory compliance, interviewing practices and underwriting skills desired

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel, write and type on a computer keyboard and other standard office equipment.
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach, and stoop.
  • Vision and hearing within corrected range.
  • Must occasionally lift up to 10 - 25 lbs.


F/T Teller (SF Irving Branch)

Jump start your career as an SF Police Credit Union Teller.  This person will be responsible for proactively educating our members about our products and services as well as processing deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; selling traveler’s checks; maintaining payroll deductions; opening and maintaining share certificate accounts. Excellent listening and verbal communications skills are required, experience with cash handling is preferred and PC experience is a plus.
