Notification of Improved Credit Reporting

by Alicia Palelej | Feb 01, 2017

If you've reviewed your credit report recently, you may have noticed your SFPCU loan is now being displayed on the report as a "new" account. Please be assured that no new accounts or loans have been created for you without your permission. Your existing loan is displaying as "new" on these reports because it is the first time this loan has been reported to that particular credit bureau.

As part of our commitment to putting our members' best interests first, SF Police Credit Union has begun reporting information to all three credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion). The information reported by each of these agencies is slightly different, so having your information recorded by all three bureaus will help provide a more accurate profile of your credit history in the future.

We would like to reiterate that SFPCU will never push products and services to meet sales quotas, nor will we ever open accounts for you without your permission.
