We hope you enjoy your new SFPCU debit card. Once you've received your new EMV debit card in the mail, follow the instructions below to activate it.
For a successful activation, please call from the primary telephone number listed on your SFPCU account. (For instructions on verifying your primary telephone number, please refer to the "Verifying your primary telephone number" section below.)
- Call the number listed on the sticker on the front of your card.
- Follow the prompts to enter your information.You will be asked to enter your 3-digit CVV number from the back of the card as an added security measure. With this change, you are now only required to enter the last 4 digits of your Social Security number.
- You will hear a confirmation that your card is now activated. If you wish to keep your existing PIN, no further action is required; you can use your card immediately. If you would like to set a new custom PIN, follow the prompts.
Important: If you have been using a chipless SFPCU debit card with a magnetic chip, please call us at 800.222.1391 to order an EMV debit card.
