This economic downturn has affected all areas of our lives--from business closures and high unemployment rates to budget crises at the state and local levels. In the same vein, credit unions are facing numerous battles on the legislative front that could impact how they serve their membership.
SF Police Credit Union has more than 27,000 members. Can you imagine the power of your voice to elected officials? And, it will only take mere minutes of your time.
How can I support credit union legislation?
By signing up for Connect for the Cause, a Web-based advocacy network that allows you to inform elected officials about credit union issues.
Your credit union and the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues, the trade association for credit unions in the two states, offer a resource to ensure credit unions have a collective voice in Washington, D.C. and Sacramento. To get started, all you have to do is go to the Connect for the Cause website to register.
Once you’ve registered, you will receive email notifications about important issues impacting SF Police Credit Union and others. When you take action, your elected official(s) will be sent a personalized letter or form letter with your name automatically added. It’s that simple!
I encourage you to take an important step to ensure that SF Police Credit Union and others in the credit union movement remain a valued source for its members—and sign up for Connect for the Cause.
