How do I add my card to Apple Pay?

iPhone 6 or higher

  1. Tap the Wallet icon on your phone.
  2. Tap the plus sign in the upper right to add a new card.
  3. Add the card associated with your iTunes account, or use your phone's camera to capture the information on your SFPCU card. (You can also enter the information manually.)

Apple Watch

  1. Open Apple Watch on your phone.
  2. Tap "Wallet and Apple Pay."
  3. Tap "Add a Credit or Debit Card."
  4. Add the card associated with your iTunes account, or use your phone's camera to capture the information on your SFPCU card. (You can also enter the information manually.)

iPad

  1. Navigate to Settings > Wallet and Apple Pay.
  2. Tap "Add a Credit or Debit Card."
  3. Add the card associated with your iTunes account, or use your tablet's camera to capture the information on your SFPCU card. (You can also enter the information manually.)
How do I use Apple Pay?

Pay with your phonePay with the digital version of your SFPCU Platinum Visa.

Look for the contactless payment symbol or Apple Pay logo at payment terminals or online checkout.

In Stores

Place your finger on the Touch ID button and hold your phone near the payment terminal. When payment is complete you'll see a checkmark and confirmation message on your screen.

Online (using an Apple device equipped with Touch ID)

Certain merchants accept Apple Pay online. Look for the Apple Pay button at checkout. When you've verified your shipping info and are ready to pay, place your finger on the Touch ID button and wait for the checkmark/confirmation message to appear on your screen.

Why am I being asked to make a phone call to verify my card for Apple Pay?

For your security, the process of adding your SFPCU card to Apple Pay may require you to make a telephone call to verify your information. A representative will ask some standard security questions before proceeding with activation.

Is my digital card/virtual card protected against fraudulent charges?

Yes. The digital version of your card is protected by the same services covering your plastic card.

Which SFPCU cards are eligible for Apple Pay?

Currently, you can pair your SFPCU Platinum Visa with Apple Pay. Look for your SFPCU MasterCard Debit Card to be added soon!

Can I add my card on multiple devices?

Yes. You can add your card to digital wallets on multiple devices.

What happens to my card if my phone is lost or stolen?

Apple Pay requires your fingerprint to authorize payments, but for your security you can monitor your account for suspicious transactions through Online Banking. If you notice any suspicious activity, please contact us.

Before you lose your phone, it helps to have your phone locked with a passcode and the Find my iPhone app enabled, which allows you to remotely deactivate your iPhone.

If I delete my SFPCU card from Apple Pay, can I still use my plastic card?

Yes. Deleting the digital version of your card from Apple Pay has no effect on your plastic card.

What should I do if my plastic card is lost or stolen?
If you lose your plastic card, be sure to contact us and report your card as lost or stolen immediately.
