Online Banking Tutorial

Access

To access SFPCU’s Online Banking, you must have:

  • An SFPCU membership account
  • Internet access
  • One of the following recommended Internet browsers
    • Internet Explorer 7.0 and Higher (pc only). Internet Explorer upgrades can be found at http://support.microsoft.com
    • Mozilla Firefox 3.5 and Higher (pc and Mac). Mozilla Firefox upgrades can be found at http://www.mozilla.com
    • Safari 3.1 (WebKit 523.13) and Higher (pc and Mac). Safari upgrades can be found at http://www.apple.com/safari/download
    • Google Chrome. Google Chrome can be found at http://www.google.com/chrome

You can login directly from any of the SFPCU pages by hovering/clicking on the red Online Banking tab located at the top of the page.

To enroll for the first time click here. You will need your member number to login for the first-time.
 
Forgot your username or password.

 

First-time Password

We have upgraded our Online Banking system with enhanced features and new services to better serve our members. The new system requires all users to re-register and set up a new password.

If you are receiving a message like the example below, please click on ‘First Time’ to register for the new Online Banking system.

If you are accessing our new Online Banking system for the first time, simply enter your member number and anything you want for your password into that box. The system will recognize your member number and will give you a ‘First Time’ button to enroll your account with the new system.

Features and Benefits of Online Banking

You can view account balances and transaction history, transfer money within your SFPCU accounts and from other financial institutions, deposit checks online, categorize your transactions and track your spending, and much more.

Change Password

To change your Online Banking password, hover your mouse over the 'My Profile' tab and select 'Change Password' from the dropdown menu. You will then enter your old password, and your new password and click 'Submit'.

Security

SFPCU is committed to providing the most secure online experience. Some of the security features of Online Banking include:

  • Multi-factor authentication system which combines multiple types of identification for stronger, more reliable protection.
  • Firewall – a logical barrier designed to prevent unauthorized or unwanted communications between the SFPCU internal network and the Internet. SFPCU Online Banking systems are protected by a powerful firewall that is monitored 24x7.
  • 256-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Certificate encryption - a cryptographic protocol which provides secure communications on the Internet for web browsing and data transfers. By using a 256-bit symmetric key for all Online Banking transactions, your online access and Bill Pay sessions are encrypted. SFPCU employs some of the strongest forms of encryption that available for use on the Web today. All account information is always encrypted and transmitted via HTTP over Transport Layer Security (TLS), a.k.a. “HTTPS”.
  • Password Violations / Lockouts - You are allowed three (3) incorrect password attempts before your account is locked and access is denied. When this happens, you will have to wait 30 minutes before trying again or call SFPCU Member Services at 800.222.1391 to have your password reset.
  • "Cookies" – Online Banking does use "cookies" as part of our security. The "cookie" does not contain any confidential information about your account, but it does keep track of your activity and your current sign-on status. Every time you request a new page, your browser sends the "cookie" back to our server for verification, and then our server updates your computer with a new "cookie." This is just one of the ways we protect your account information.
  • Inactive Session Timeout – After ten (10) minutes of inactivity, Online Banking will automatically sign you off.
