Senior Mortgage Underwriter – San Francisco
Responsible for overseeing the underwriting of residential real estate loans ensuring balance between growth objectives and credit quality objectives of the Credit Union. Proactive in problem detection and resolution. Monitors member/customer service standards by assisting in problem solving and resolution of operational problems. Works with Loan Officers to lead a team providing superior member service through setting and assessing performance goals and priorities. Responsible for ensuring that the Credit Union complies with required laws and regulations. Builds positive relationships with all departments and peers. Underwriting designation strongly desired , At least five years real estate lending industry, with at least five years underwriting experience preferable , and Advanced industry courses in real estate lending recommended. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and demonstrated skills in organization and strong attention to detail.
